Know any humerous stories about your grandparents or great-grandparents ?

My grandmother got a budgie on her birthday and a few months later ran out of birdseed. She went to the local grocery store but the shopkeeper’s English was not very good. My grandmother pointed to a box behind the counter with a bird on it, her eyesight was not good and she had forgotten her glasses. The price seemed high but she bought it anyway. When she got home she found she had bought White Owl Cigars.
